Becky Wortman

Becky WortmanOriginally from Lexington, KY, Becky Wortman has held differing positions over her professional career including working 17 years for Reynolds Metals/Alcoa in accounts payables and as a staff accountant. Other positions she has held in the past were in forgery and fraud protection, human resources, office management, tax preparation, and teaching. She began working at Interlink in 2008 and rose to the position of Finance Manager. Some of her duties include managing food stamp applications and incoming funds, maintaining the cell phone plan for employees, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, supervising human resources, organizing audits with the CPA, preparing monthly and quarterly tax reports, coordinating events, and other financial matters. Ms. Wortman also works directly with the President/CEO and Director of Operations in making financial decisions and planning upcoming projects such as a new employee benefits package. Along with managing the finance department of Interlink, Becky also maintains the finance, payroll, human resource department at the Alternative Recovery Center in Campbellsville, which is a new community treatment center partnered with Interlink Counseling Services.

Since Becky graduated in 1997 with a BS in accounting, she has continued receiving training in areas such as human resources, tax preparation, accounting, auditing, and payroll. In addition to her notary license, she is currently a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Furthermore, she has been employed by Jackson & Hewitt as an office manager and senior tax preparer for the past 11 years along with teaching introductory and advanced tax classes for 10 years. While working for Jackson & Hewitt, Becky Wortman has received several exceptional awards including Outstanding Tax Preparer of the Season (2003), Office Manager Award (2004), and the Teacher of the Year Appreciation Award (2007). Even though Becky spends a great deal of time with job related activities and her family (husband, step son, and three grandchildren), she still finds time to volunteer with organizations such as St. Jude where she has helped craft blankets for disadvantaged children since 2001. Working at Interlink has helped Becky to understand better the situations of homeless veterans, and she enjoys being able to aid in their recovery even though she does not spend time with them on an individual basis. Becky enjoys collaborating with people and hopes to continue working at Interlink for many years so that she can help it grow and reach out to more people in need.
